  1. It's the way it still is. No one comes up and is listed as a 2B, that only means you don't have the arm to make it from SS, same goes with 3B. When you are that age you want the arm already strong enough to make the throw from the hole.
  2. Ha, we're a Minnesota sports franchise, s-- happens!
  3. Meh. In any other park that's an out, any other place on the entire monster Ramirez has no shot at scoring. I thought Gibson threw a decent game yesterday and got a few unlucky breaks, which were looked at in depth in the write-up. Yeah his interview he did complain a little bit, but it was deserved IMO. I would rather hear that than a candid "I didn't get the job done today" response, but that's just a personal opinion.
  4. Except there was no 3 run homer. Solo shots to Betts and Ramirez.
  5. Great list but you had some old salaries for some players. SP Corey Kluber $7.5 SP Max Scherzer $15M (but has a $7M signing bonus every season, so essentially $22M) RP Craig Kimbrel $13M RP Zach Britton $11.4M OF Mike Trout $19.25M 1B Paul Goldschmidt $8.75M
  6. Thank God Kennys got walked, he didn't see a strike the whole AB
  7. What a great day to not know they had a day game. Good lord.
  8. When Strickland threw at Harper he had to know that it could start a fight. When Harper decided to charge the mound he knew the consequences could be getting hurt and being suspended. It is what it is.
  9. Is the upside of any of those guys worth trading for a guy who turns 37 this year and in this last year of his contract?
  10. Fiers is doing what Berrios needed to do, get ahead of the hitters. He has thrown a 1st pitch strike to almost every batter since the 1st inning.
  11. Just need a K followed by a 6-4-3. Let's go get Jose
  12. Mmmmm that breaking ball is straight nasty
  13. ****....at least it could throw strikes
  14. Duffey appeared in 5 spring training games and had 2 Spring Training starts, he threw 3 innings and 5 innings. How is that starting all spring? I will say it again, until Duffey can add an at least average 3rd pitch, he should be in the pen where he is excelling in a position of need for the Twins.
  15. I think he aborted on the helmet throw. Edit: I'm totally wrong. https://gfycat.com/ShoddyMindlessHammerkop
  16. The last 2 losses are tough. Blame Molly all you want for both of them, but there have been a lot of lot of opportunities for players to step up and be the hero and no one has stepped up to answer the call.
  17. I'd guess because he threw 30 pitches the day before and they Twins have 7 games upcoming in a row. It was the 1st time this season Duffy had gone back to back games as well and probably didn't want to have him unavailable for 2 of the Houston games, but that's just speculation.
  18. Just curious, do you think a different manager would have won 90 games with the Twins roster last season?
  19. Why is there so much support to put Duffey back into the rotation? Haven't we seen that how that works? Without a decent 3rd pitch, he always seemed to get hit hard the 3rd time through the order. Look at his numbers in the pen. Walks down, K's up, velocity up. He has looked like a true shutdown reliever this season, why do so many want to toy with that and put him back into the rotation? Color me crazy, but I would rather have a shutdown bullpen arm than a run of the mill 4.50 ERA, 1.4 WHIP starter who gets lit up every other time out.
  20. Mauer is 6-6 getting on base today and the immediate 3 players following him in the lineup are 0-17.
  21. 14 K's in 12 innings for Twins pitchers on a day when Gibson started
  22. Polanco-Vargas-Kepler have gone 1-15 with 15 LOB. Not very productive day for the 2-4-5 hitters in the lineup. Too easy to blame the game on the manager when the player's aren't getting it done on the field.
  23. Fastball down the pipe? Ouch.
  24. C'mon Sano, bust out of that slump
