  1. The extra innings runner does not count against the pitcher’s ERA, but essentially is an inherited runner. Runs allowed per 9 innings might e a better gauge for relief pitchers. They are suposed to overcome the errors and inherited runners in their spot
  2. The Zips projection for wins and losses for the pitcher’s record total somewhere around a 200 win season for the Twins as well as more loses than wins. They also have Scott Blewett pitching 77 innings. So the hype is someone trying to write a positive story for a change
  3. Years ago I heard a guy n Common Man talk baseball with him. Entertained, informative. Gave out his web site, Seth Speaks. It does seem like a time when they all formed this site it was about the game itself and how it was played. Now it feels like a site for would be GMs and people to complain about everything. The site seems to be clickbait city. Get them arguing so they get more clicks
  4. The difference is that if Cohen can build up the Mets he can make up the difference in revenue. The current difference is about 300 million a year. The Mets are not a vanity plaything.. there is no great revenue jump possibility for the Twins. The first clue of years there will e a sizeable depletion of player assets that would enable an increase in payroll.
  5. Bill had not inherited the money when he made Brokeback. It was still Carl’s empire.money. The entertainment money is still part of the Pohlad’s empire
  6. A lot of words just in an attempt to hatchet the Pohlads. There are no Pohlad films without Carl’s money The whole is a better person overlooks the obvious
  7. They are expected to sign 3 other highly regarded infielders. They signed a Cuban outfielder for 2.5. That 6.2 shrinks quickly.
  8. I was responding to a post that stated “what fans wants” They did not specify Twin’s Daily. Nick Nelson in an article said that traffic was down. Thanks for providing a clue to ehy
  9. Donovan Soloano types are now 3.5 million dollars players, not 2.
  10. That class of player is a player who is a corner outfielder, can play some center, was above average, hit well, declined, went to Colorado, hit really well, got traded and crater so he came cheaply to Arizona.. Also hit right handed. Good luck finding that scenario
  11. Grichuk turned down a 6 million option. I would think that he is expecting to get a better offer than that
  12. Zips projections had Andrew Stevenson getting 300 A for the Twins. Zips is worthless for individual players
  13. Somehow I missed how playing an instrument, with sheet music in front of you, that has been practiced is akin to judging where an object traveling at about 130 feet per second in a non linear motion actual is in relation a spot FWIW, when the object travels i a linear fashion the person standing next to the spot puts the object where the fans can get it. The article I looked at previously talked about what a dead guy did 50-70 years ago with buses. Now that is quite the baseball story. Time to give this site a rest
  14. A dive into the why of Kepler would end up behind the paywall. Sano did not seem interested in being an elite athlete in an era where sustained success was going to require work. Hopefully he did a decent job of saving money
  15. Yup, baseball attendance has gone up the last couple of years. Kind of hard not to after shutting down with the pandemic. Baseball attendance is still down from their peak attendance. If the stry starts ff with a slam asked on skewed statistic, why other trusting anything else the person has to say?
  16. There was an article elsewhere where Kepler talked about how he plaid with an abdominal strain most of the year and how it affected his performance. The game has changed and though you say you have watched it forever you can’t see it. Your list of catchers who played 135 games rarely hit 135. They didn’t even make it 120 in half the seasons they played in games started as a catcher. Your memory of what was is faulty
  17. That is how it works now. Repeat a hundred times and is is widely reported
  18. Limbo, that is the thing were if the bar is set to low you fall on your butt
  19. Playing games as catcher, only Carl Raleigh appeared in 135 games as catcher. Only 11 catchers started more than 100 games. Kendall was 15 years ago.
  20. ZIPS 2024 era + for the pitchers was also inaccurate. Being TD decided to malfunction once again, refused to reload and deletes the post about the pitchers I was typing. I am going to think about trying again later
  21. ZIPS 2024 ops+ projections for some of the young players Lewis 121, actual 107. Julien 112, actual 74, Wallner 112, actual 124. Miranda 105, Actual 112, Lee 89, actual 64, Castro 93, actual 102, Larnach 95, actual 116. Martin, 83, actual 89. Not terribly accurate.
