  1. This was awesome! Great story and thank you for sharing it
  2. I can absolutely see him on the opening day roster. Frankly, if both are healthy, I have him in over Gordon. I also could very well see a scenario that he gets a lot of playing time this year, and that being a good thing.
  3. Because I believe he is not a #3 starter, and I believe he is a weapon out of the pen :)
  4. Love the show! For me, yesterday when I was out, I was listening to it in the podcast format (not YouTube.) The show was cut short, and ended at around the 20 minute mark. Just wanted to pass that along.
  5. I don’t think Miami would want Winder at all. I’d imagine it would be Polanco and then another actual prospect.
  6. Here is a random thought I had that has no actual rumor attached or basis in anything I’ve read. How much would the twins have to give, with Polanco, to get Max Meyer from Miami? He should be healthy from Tommy John this year, and his fastball/slider combo is special. Maybe a new regime in Miami would be open to considering it? He wasn’t this gm’s draft pick after all. I don’t think it would work as a 1 for 1, but man would his arm talent be fun to have. Being from Minnesota doesn’t hurt either
  7. I think Adames has a LOT more value than Polanco, for what it's worth. But Polanco still has value.
  8. It really does depend on the return in my opinion. It certainly won't at all be a salary dump, and I have to think someone will be coming back that will show it isn't just a completely sell-off. I'm curious if they do pair Polanco with a prospect, or if something comes back JUST for Polanco. Again, this offseason will be fascinating. :)
  9. It's certainly not a perfect fit salary wise. But he is a full year removed from tommy john, and SHOULD be plenty motivated to reach free agency in 10ish months. The Twins would have to trade capital that would amount to equal what they think he would produce for them in 2024, along with knowing that they would get a pick once he leaves after receiving the QO next offseason (assuming that.) It's not substantial if you are comparing it to an arm with his kind of talent who has 3 years team control remaining, but it still would cost a bit. I'd be in favor of Glasnow being a Twin in 2024.
  10. Carlos Baerga on instagram is reporting that Ohtani to the Blue Jays is done. I don't know if that is enough of a report, but it might be close. And it sure would be cool to see him in Toronto
  11. Matthew, I know you say the Twins PROBABLY aren't in on any of those 4 names (I don't at all see Bieber or Cease, mostly for in-division trades of that level just aren't common) but if you had to guess, what type of names could you see them in on? Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the past decade as well. Your writing is very much appreciated. Have a great day!
  12. I think this also shows that they need at least one starter, if not another 1 or 2 to start at St. Paul. BUT To me there is a LOT of potential for some of these guys to really be entrenched in the rotation by sometime early 2025. That's exciting :)
  13. I do wish someone could help me understand; India is not as good a player as Polanco, so I have a hard time understanding the draw for a team who needs a 2b. If the choices are Polanco and India, the decision (to me) is an easy one, and it's Polanco. But yes, the front office will need to be creative in terms of how they acquire players this offseason.
  14. It's exciting how Wichita will look this season, and there are a ton of guys that should fit this category. Good times in the organization. I'll add Pierson Ohl here too, but for THIS list, Festa and Cory Lewis are who I would bet on (not that I'm not betting on others.)
  15. Farmer and Castro, probably, to start the year. Unless they KNOW they need more help with centerfield, then I can totally see Martin be up even opening day. I also think Martin, of the 3 you listed with Farmer, will get the most plate appearances out of these 4 listed in 2024. Good to have depth that can play multiple positions.
  16. Luzardo would be incredible here. I don't know that they would trade him, but he is who I would shoot for here.
  17. Tigers lose Rodriguez. Arizona signs him for 4/80. Always thought he was pretty good. Good for the twins to get him out of the central
  18. I wonder if Hoskins would also get time at dh and left field, to platoon with Miranda and Kirilloff. Especially if Kepler is traded and Wallner moves to right, I can’t say I know who is out there. But Kirilloff or Hoskins out there could work right, along with Martin or Castro. They certainly could use a legit power bat.
  19. So Bobby Nightengale mentioned that Rhys Hoskins was connected to the Twins, as did Roy Smalley/Lavelle Neal on their chin music podcast. Just throwing this out, I do think getting a middle of the order bat would help transform this lineup. Thoughts? View full rumor

  21. Could be 5. Their 1st, (21) the pick they got for Gray (33 or so) their 2nd (60ish) and a comp pick after the 2nd round (75ish) and then whenever their 3rd round pick would be. The numbers, other than 21, are just guesses
  22. Absolutely. It's hard to count on him all the time based on what has happened almost every year of his career. But even him at 90% or 80% is a very good player. I'd be open to the idea of him (if healthy) moving to a corner outfield spot in time. But for now, today, he is healthy. And that's a good thing. Thanks!
