  1. In what inning will the Twins get their first hit?
  2. For seven starts, Smyly has severe reverse splits. LH hitters have an OPS of .874 while RH hitters are at .521.
  3. I'm presuming that right handed hitters will be in the lineup vs. the lefty. Which lefty gets to stay in?
  4. It was a fun game to attend. Lots of youngsters made the crowd a little more lively. Outstanding outfield defense and just enough hitting to win the game. The two HBP both contributed to scoring innings and Joey Gallo showed signs of life. Still only six hits, it would really help to get more guys on base
  5. And how many times did they get Soto out?
  6. Glad they didn’t have to face the top of the order again. I felt like Tatis and Machado were ticking time bombs.
  7. Do not like sacrificing defense with a two-run lead.
  8. Well, I expect both Castro and Gordon to be in the lineup somewhere. Buxton is in quite a long 0-fer and Polanco has only had the one day off. Farmer is just back from injury and I guess, so too is Kirilloff. The last weekday day game I attended was the one game that Solano has started at second base. I hope this isn't a repeat.
  9. I’ll be there as well. I hope that all of the difference-makers are in the lineup today. A case can be made to rest a lot of guys—Farmer, Correa, Polanco, Kirilloff, Buxton—and it’s a near certainty that Jeffers catches today. Go Twins!
  10. It’s only 14 plate appearances, but he looks like far and away the best hitter on the team. He’s swinging at strikes and not fooled by breaking stuff. Five walks and only one strikeout.
  11. Good for Helman, better for Jordy Blaze. It would be great if he can help the Twins either in the bullpen or (if he gets stretched out) as a starter.
  12. Small sample size, of course, but Kirilloff is swinging at strikes and not striking out. His only K was that goofy pitch clock violation.
  13. Called it!! Just a couple of innings early.
  14. The other part of Castro pinch hitting is that a fast runner will be on second in the bottom of the tenth.
  15. Kirilloff's reputation is that he doesn't walk much and chases out of the zone. There has been very little of that in the four games since he came up.
