  1. Nope. He got an RBI hit to make it 4-3 and Soler hit a walkoff homer.
  2. I think #5 of the Dodgers will be the only guy who can challenge Arraez for the NL batting championship.
  3. Correa made the perfect throw. His D has been All-Star worthy.
  4. Now a wild pitch for a "hitless wonders" run.
  5. Castro right now has a higher BA than Correa or Gallo. although the .630 OPS is below everyone else.
  6. Yeah, he looks as clueless as he did before the home stand.
  7. Farmer and Solano weren't on last year's Twins team that went 0-21 vs. the future Hall of Famer.
  8. Oliver Ortega got the save. He's my sneaky pick to come up and stay in the Twins' bullpen.
  9. Cross-sports reference: Clayton Kershaw was the center on Matthew Stafford’s high school football team and Stafford was Kershaw’s catcher on the baseball team.
  10. I'm sure they'll hit for Solano as soon as Kershaw is out. Of course, that could be the eighth inning.
  11. Lewis hit a three-run homer in his fourth at-bat. SSS, but he may be ready to help the Twins when his rehab is over.
  12. And Louie's brother Gus was DFAed. I believe he was in the Dodger organization and he would be offered back to them.
  13. Something like that. He can't be activated from the 60-day list until something like May 29th.
  14. Down on the Farm, Royce Lewis is 2-2 with a stolen base.
  15. Hit a homer, get a day off. Polanco and Larnach out. I wonder what the bullpen availability will be tonight.
  16. It appears there could be a roster crunch in earnest in the next two weeks plus. Kepler is due back in a week or less with no easy move to clear space. Lewis will come off the IL on or around June 1st and Castro or Solano could be in jeopardy and Jose Miranda might also hit his way back again without easy moves to clear space.
  17. Yup, fits the pattern for TJS. Alcalá seemed to be up and down on the velo and breaking ball sharpness. I wouldn’t count on him throwing another pitch for the Twins. All speculation, of couse.
  18. Bullpen help is on the way. José De León is promoted, with Alcalá on the IL. I hope he’s in LA in time for the game.
  19. José De León promoted (contract selected) with Alcalá going on the 15-day IL. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/05/twins-to-select-jose-de-leon.html
  20. Gus Varland has a nice story as a Rule V guy who has made the Brewers' roster this year. He spent time on the IL and just came back to the Brew Crew and unfortunately was lit up last night (9 ER in 2/3 inning).
  21. Lewis is on a rehab assignment with a 20-day window. He is on the 60-day IL and can't be activated until June 1. When he completes his rehab, he has to be added to the 40-man roster. If there was thought that he definitely wasn't going to be ready, there was no reason start him on his rehab.
  22. Two ex-Twins in the same transaction: Fernando Abad selected by the Rockies as CJ Cron is put on the IL.
  23. Angels have placed Rendon on the IL, meaning we'll see Gio at third, probably for the whole series. Honestly, I wish him well, just so long as the Twins win.
  24. I don't know if any series in May answers questions for the season. Too much happens in the meantime.
