    Larnach will be back; he needs some time to sort things out and gain confidence. I can see the same for Miranda when Farmer is activated. As far as when everyone is up together? It’s likely there will be activity at the trade deadline, and it may take that long.

    I didn’t see the game as I was attending a drunken philosophers meetup. But by all accounts Ober impressed. That’s good, because he’s likely up for the duration. Now we need to see if Varland can do this, too.

    I’m okay with making the trades; one has to take risks to improve. But the nature of risk is sometimes you roll a natural 20 and sometimes you roll a 1. Sometimes you get Aragorn, others you get Charles.

    Pretty sure Farmer will be the backup SS.

    I think a short kick-in-the-behind stint in AAA may do Miranda and Larnach both some good. I'd be okay if one went down for Farmer and the other for Kiriloff next week. Then in another ten days see how they're all doing, see where Lewis is at, and see if Buxton is tried out in the field.

    I think the move, when it comes, will be for someone with an option. I also happen to think that is the correct move, at least prior to trade season.

    The prominent HeGetsUs ads on the stadium are kind of amusing. I wonder if these are actually in the ballpark or if the TV network is overlaying them. Anybody here present who can clarify that?

    I like Baldelli. He’s a good player’s manager who is still learning about the job. When you learn, you make mistakes. When you stop learning, they hold a wake for you. Still, he won’t be here forever and I think Toby Gardenhire will be a decent successor if no one else snaps him up first.
