    Are you suggesting that nobody anticipated the response this would provoke? I like to give y’all credit for more than that. But provoking a response and then beating up on it has a floor of passive/aggressive, and a ceiling of bait and switch. Maybe I’ve just overestimated people.

    That’s not a very good answer. Exempting those in power from the rules often backfires.

    It's always been like this. Even in 87 and 91 there were maybe 2-3 reliable relievers. I think the real problem is that the starters need to go deeper into games. This will cover a multitude of sins in the pen.
