  1. It would be really nice if Correa’s slump ended today.
  2. I’ve come to feel that this whole narrative about Kepler has largely been, and continues to be, manufactured. This will all play out on its own without any external push. He may be traded during or after the season; that’s the way this business works. But right now he’s contributing, and why is that being overlooked?
  3. Do I have to? Seems like a recipe for migraines.
  4. Nothing wrong with his legs, though.
  5. Put rosin on your hands while sipping. :D
  6. You could stay home and drink hot coffee, which is what I’m doing.
  7. If you like Pina Coladas, and gettin caught in the rain. This is your happy hour day.
  8. They’ll all be up drinking with Bonnes. :)
  9. Why do so many fans do the same? Seems like a pretty human response.
  10. A Twins-themed Batman bobblehead? May have to consider it.
  11. This lineup is so much better with Polanco in it.
  12. Currently drizzling, but should stop before gametime.
  13. My first takeaway is that the Yankees may have a tough time making the postseason, and if they do it would be as a wildcard.
  14. When he is called up, I gotta believe it will be with the intention of being permanent and for playing mostly every day. This may also coincide with Buxton starting to play in the field some, opening the DH spot.
  15. Headrick was optioned yesterday; just a question of who is called up prior to the first KC game. I’d guess Winder but we’ll see.
  16. Tangential to the current discussions but Cole Sands’ 15 days down is up on Saturday 29th April, so he could be recalled any time beginning then. This will bear more on the Headrick replacement than anything else.
  17. Were I a betting man I’d lay down on Kiriloff returning around 9th May when the next homestand begins against the Padres.
  18. Based on Rocco’s presser, it seems pretty certain Maeda is IL bound. I’m pretty sure Ober will get the call as replacement. After that stretch and rehab, we’ll just have to see how it plays out. The somewhat related question; does Headrick also get sent back to St. Paul after the long stint today?
  19. So if Maeda is put on the 15 day IL, Ober could be recalled immediately without the normal waiting after the send-down, yes?
  20. Days like this are why boilermakers were invented.
  21. The obvious answer here is Winder. I’d like to see how that plays out and am not opposed to the idea of having two multi-inning relievers; say Winder and Headrick.
