  1. Rortvedt is my Adopt-A-Prospect so I am always happy to see him written up. Do you agree with my adjective for him that he possesses the highly desirable quality of being "quiet" behind the plate? I imagine him being an umpire favorite. He's just so composed.
  2. What makes you think he can predict that date?
  3. I don't know if the above video pertains to the system TD is on. Here's how I do it: Obtain the "youtube.com" URL - it won't work with the short "youtu.be" variant - and it has to be the kind with "/watch?v=" in it. Surround that URL with "media" before, and "/media" after. In square brackets instead of the quotes. I can't show you here, or the system will interpret it as meta-code.Here's your link done that way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDjJc_ZH6dk If you still have trouble, try replying to my post by clicking "Quote", and you should see the way I did it. If not, above the editing box click the weird little gray icon next to the pink-and-white Eraser icon, which changes the editor from WYSIWYG to native code, and maybe that will clear it up. (Don't forget to click that icon again to go back to WYSIWYG, or you might forget and then be puzzled the next time you want to reply to someone.)
  4. Yer a poet, and blissfully unaware of that fact. Ya make a rhyme, repeatedly.
  5. Sorry. I thought you were talking about Kintzler.
  6. I've heard of people who pay for that, if they want a whole season of Boston sports and not just the good games against the Twins.
  7. Maybe that's why Kintzler pitches the ninth.
  8. These details are harder for me to pick up on, listening via radio feed. Sucks living in the Boston metro for series like this.
  9. I'm surprised you didn't mention he has a twin brother. JosB.
  10. Gibson's exit velocity is approximately 500 MPH, as he rides the American flight to Rochester.
  11. A difference of opinion on the Internet. A site doesn't speak all with one voice? http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/210/119/9b3.png
  12. In real-time, as the play developed I thought there was no chance he gets to the ball. Then suddenly he was going even faster, and got to it in plenty of time. I think the video voiceover said that was around a 25% play based on time and distance - my eyeball had it even lower than that, so apparently he's slower than I thought.
  13. His BABIP has been above .400 during the recent stretch Brock mentioned. How much hotter do you expect he'll get? If anything, the BABIP has me tempering my expectations for a while yet. Baby steps for the rest of the first half, at least.
  14. The game log on bb-ref.com shows Dozier's HR added only 12% to the win probability, while Sano's 2-run jack added 18%. Imagine how large the WPA would have been on a 3-run homer, if Dozier would have just gotten on base. Doesn't speak well to his spirit of team play.
  15. Say, does anyone know whether the Yankees are playing today? Has Aaron Hicks come up to bat yet?
  16. Next time clip a Bic pen to his lapel, so he'll think you're using up to date sound equipment.
  17. You walk the Elephant, and pitch to the Giraffe. Geez, that's an old one.
  18. Mauer, lol. The A's have no pitching.
  19. "Yeah, well, that's just, opinion, your like, man"
  20. "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, try baffling them." -- W. C. Fields * more or less
  21. Hank. Aaron Hank. That has a ring to it.
