  1. It will be interesting to if if this takes place or when it takes place. With the new Richards from LAA needs Tommy John, maybe they take a flier on Tommy Milone. I could see a handful of teams giving him a shot. Fein on the other hand, his MLB days are probably over. I just hope Mastro isn't called up. Been there, done that.
  2. I know his delivery is a work in progress. I actually liked what I saw the first two innings. I hope he gets an actual chance sometime. I am sure the kid had butterflies and a little of nerves and/or adrenaline pumping considering it was his first MLB start and has a total of 7 innings.
  3. I agree there are a lot of knee jerk reactions brought up on here and, you know what, that is ok. People can have opinions and are entitled to them. To get back on topic, I was really hoping Nolasco would turn out to be the guy we thought we were getting when we signed him. I know that there is a lot of displease in him and I get it. I hope, as a competitor, some of his issues were injuries and being frustrated when coming back from injuries. Others have posted too that he has a lot to gain. I just hope he stays healthy and can be a servicable piece on this roster in whatever capacity they use him. I did read on mlb trade rumors that Atlanta was interested in taking on bad contracts in order to acquire competitive balance picks (which we have one). As far Arcia, I hope he learned from last year and humbled himself a little. I couldn't imagine being 22 years old and on a MLB roster. Yeah, i would have taken things for granted too.
  4. Here is a sneak peak of today's BP session. https://vine.co/v/iX1LuQvAZZa
  5. I would just like to see some players take some accountability. They need a leader to get in someone's face and say something to him and get pissed off a little bit. I would like to see someone step up and take charge of this team and be a leader. I want someone to get pissed when someone takes a poor AB or not tag up and attempt to score when you are on third and a fly ball to the OF and let the other guy know that isn't how we play the game. I don't care who that person is. I just want to see some fire on this team.
  6. I truly wonder if Bautista had not reached out to touch Forsythe if this would have been overturned. In an ESPN article it stated this, Replay umpires in New York ruled Bautista's slide was not directly into the bag and it illegally hindered Forsythe. The call was changed to a game-ending double play that preserved Tampa Bay's victory. I, personally, don't like how that is worded saying Bautista's slide was not directly into the bag. I thought he slide hard and into the bag. His right leg went over the bag in fact. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/15145584/toronto-blue-jays-manager-john-gibbons-fumes-new-rule-cost-game
  7. I had free beer at Target Field once. Well, i had to fork over $200 for a champions club ticket, but at the end of the night, I think I got my monies worth!
  8. Better tell that to the Royals. Wasn't it ESPN that reported at the WS two years ago that the food moldy and the concessions didn't pass inspection standards.
  9. Heard on the radio that it wont count against your data usage either. Nice perk from TMobile. Too bad i have verizon.
  10. It is odd that the Royals get two days off (April 6 & 7) before the Twins come to town. I don't know if i have ever seen two consecutive days off (other than the All Star break).
  11. I guess the one big IF would be if Sano grows up.
  12. I guess from my eye test, Sano is just a big strong kid. Hell, I was I had his build.
  13. Is it me or is there less radio broadcasts this year? I have bought MLB audio for years now and I don't remember a spring training with this few broadcasts. At least other I can listen via other teams broadcasts, but it seems like the Twins haven't had very many broadcasts.
  14. I agree. I would have loved him manning CF a few years ago but now times have changed.
  15. Arcia is going to get every chance to this spring. I would put his percentage at 90% to head north. The bigger question would be what are the percentage he will be on the team on June 1.
  16. I hope Sano plays the OF today so there will be a thread or two about the topic. Oh wait....
  17. So I guess I am way off, I was thinking they would win 162.
  18. Wouldn't a 12-7 go into a RH hitter and be more of a screwball and a 12-5 curve into a LH?
  19. That is exactly how I have spent the offseason!
  20. This reminds me of Vlad back in the day. I don't have the data but I swear every night on Baseball Tonight he was hitting a ball that was almost in the dirt or 6 inches outside 430 ft.
  21. Twins sign Carlos Quentin to minor league deal. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/02/twins-to-sign-carlos-quentin-to-minors-deal.html
  22. Any idea on what Clippard is said to be asking? I know he is not left handed but he would be a nice addition to the pen especially if it was in place of Fein. I wouldn't mind a look at O'Flarety (sp) either on a bounce back. I liked him when he was in Atlanta.
  23. With his numbers trending downward for the past couple seasons, I can't see how he will get in. He is in the Hall Of Very Good, but not Hall Of Fame. It is sad too because he was on track to get there. 3 Batting Titles, 1 MVP was a great start. As others have stated, injuries slowed down his career and the transition to 1B hasn't helped him.
  24. Sano could have a few "down" years in production or have injuries playing third base as well. Maybe I am in the minority here, but I don't see Sano at third base long term anyway.
