    Since Kirilloff is now on the 60 day IL, it seems likely that his last option will not be used this season. I can't imagine the Twins will offer him arbitration this off-season though. If in fact Kirilloff is not offered arbitration and becomes a free agent, does that option then expire?

    I'm not sure we should assume this. The trade deadline is fourteen days away. I haven't read anywhere that he has even started baseball activities yet.

    They could also keep Gordan at AAA on a rehab assignment until rosters expand to 28 in September. I don't believe he has even received clearance yet to begin baseball activities. A rehab assignment isn't imminent.
