I'll hurry home after golf league to tune in to the Sano show. 

Omg- is that "the corner"--  12st Street and Vine?  

 

Time to declare independence from losing to the Royals in their own palace.

Sounds ominous for the first place Royals.

I'm a musical fan so:

 

I got to Kansas City on a Friday,

By Saturday I learned a thing or two.

For up to then I didn't have an idee

of what the modern world was coming to.

 

(And even though this was set about 100 years ago and he was astounded by the gas buggies, Bell Telephone and walking to privies in the rain without ever wetting your feet, I bet this country girl could learn more than a thing or two about the modern world even now!)

Hope this is one of the few and the last times that Suzuki is batting behind Sano. You can already figure Sano is going to see a lot of junk and bad pitches with the fighting HAKU master of getting beat up by pitches  Kurt Suzuki batting in 7th.

four walks would be an impressive debut for mr. sano.

You could walk Sano to load the bases, and still not have too much trouble getting the next 3 outs!

It will be interesting to see if he keeps that number in the future, and even more interesting to see if Buxton keeps 25. Players don't always keep their first number. Hrbek wore 26 in 1981 before switching to 14 the next year. Justin Morneau wasn't always 33.  He wore 27 his first year.

Buxton has worn 7 through his entire professional career, and I've wondered if the Twins would be allowed to use 07 if that's what Buxton wanted.

1... If we can sweep the Royals... We can make up ground like a cheetah chasing a flag pole. So that's why I chose a flag pole over an animal that might run away.

Cheetah, fleetest of foot of all animals...

That would be way cool, but I'm pretty sure MLB limits jersey numbers to two digits.

Players are creatures of habit and many are superstitious.  I, for one, always wore #6 or #16.  A ridiculous comfort level thing that makes no sense looking back (like many superstitions and beliefs in, and about, the game) but was a thing in my mind in the first half of my life.

I do think KC is the best, most complete team in the AL. Obviously, you need to get your runs early against them, with that bullpen.

Number 5 hitter, Rosario is at the plate.
