Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Yeah it's been hard to watch. Hopefully it evens out sooner rather than later. Just keep thinking the bad times will balance to some good times.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Does anyone else drink a lot more when the Twins play like this? ....................how about constantly posting every thought that runs through your head?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Does anyone else drink a lot more when the Twins play like this? ....................how about constantly posting every thought that runs through your head?No way I could type that fast.... It would be something like this... Plouffe... That curve was hung... Must not have been looking for the deuce... The cat just walked past... Hey kitty... Fine walk right past me like you own the house. Nice to have Ben back in the majors... I hope he ropes another one just to show everybody on twins daily how hes a spark plug. Get off the coach Cat... Your gonna get fur all over. Plouffe struck out. Need a key hit... RISP... Just saw a stat posted on that. Plouffe and Beloit are both sounds produced when you drop a quarter in the toilet. Plouffe and Beloit... That's funny. What honey... No the cat is not on the coach.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Ok... The twins may not come back

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Dear Dick Bremer, All the Twins have been having are "Off Days"
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 This is so frustrating on so many levels, but the 2 things that really get me are: 1) It may sound cliche, especially with the frequency Blyleven says it, but it starts and ends with starting pitching. Not only is our rotation awful, but there's not much reason to hope that they'll be able to turn it around. 2) This is a weak and therefore winnable division. Detroit and Cleveland are losing big. Once those games go final, nobody in the division will be more than 2 games over .500. (No, not even the mighty Tigers.) You don't need to be much more than an average team to at least hang around within striking distance, and the Twins can't even do that. This is the where we to thrive. While the rest of the AL Central floundered, the Twins would step forward and take the division. But there's no sign of the potential for that this year.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Hi everybody! Quality start update: 3/19 With Swarzak pitching now, who's making the start in place of Liriano?
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Hi everybody! Quality start update: 3/19 With Swarzak pitching now, who's making the start in place of Liriano?Nobody. They have an off day and he is skipped
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Bases loaded. 1 out. heart of the order....
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 A Morneau homer would tie it.....
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Didn't like seeing Parmelee go down like that. Saw him mouth he's fine to the trainer.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Me of little faith with my rant. We've got ourselves a ballgame here, boys and girls!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 LOL... Burroughs produced all 3 outs. I can hear Gardy... Good inning boys... Everyone... Good inning... Except you Burroughs.
uno321 Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Could they have sent Morneau home on Plouffe's hit? On tv it sure looked like he could have made it!

Mchans24 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Bring up Dozier and play him at 3B
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Could they have sent Morneau home on Plouffe's hit? On tv it sure looked like he could have made it!With 1 out and Morneaus speed... its best to be safe... A Burroughs fly ball ties the game.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 "Danny, you are safe"lol... I still say bench him... Just for effect... Burroughs is sure had a bad inning. That makes it hard to send Velencia the message.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Bring up Dozier and play him at 3BDid I read on this site. I think Seth posted that Dozier can now be called up and it doesn't effect his Arb clock.

On tv it sure looked like he could have made it!Recovering from concussion symptoms, they are not going to send Morneau into a possible collision or vigorous slide at the plate.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 What more needs to be seen to replace Capps with Perkins as closer? I think it's safe to assume Capps would not have mowed down Gonzalez, Ortiz and Youkalis in a late game situation.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I agree... Then move Liriano into set up... LOOGY...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Keep this in mind... You gotta pull for Capps tho. If he has a decent year. He'll be good Trade Bait. Someone will be dying for a closer at the deadline.

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 At least the Royals are next. We can take one game hopefully, but not getting my hopes up.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Unreal. To reduce a 6-run deficit to a 1-run deficit, then twice load the bases and not be able to score. Unreal. And that call on Revere's foul ball was just brutal. Did Barksdale go to the Phil Cuzzi School of Umpiring?
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
