Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 gnat-ball. Bucholz should have fun.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 For once, let's put a quick zero on the board in the top of the 1st and then get a couple runs of our own in the home half. Not only are we not winning games, but it feels like we never even have the lead.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 A little anecdote about Boston's lineup tonight: Valentine had to change it, because originally he thought that Liam Hendriks was a LHP and filled it up with righties.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I wish I could share that information with the drunk Boston fan sitting in front of me at the game last night. He was yelling about how bad he hated Valentine for about ten minutes straight simply because Valentine called for a sacrifice bunt in I believe it was the second inning. This information would have probably ilicited a good 45-minute rant.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Plouffe and his .100 BA in preference to Clete's .182, against a righty. Not Doumit either. C'mon Trevor, show us something.

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Pedroia doubles to shallow left? That's where Revere is - I thought his speed would eliminate that. Someone who saw the game, tell me what happened? (That was Yahoo sports. I checked again on ESPN.com and it said deep left. That makes more sense, although I'll still gripe that I thought Revere was supposed to make outfield hits impossible.)
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Lotta pitches for Liam with that last at bat... finally got him... dang.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 You never want to see your starter throw 30+ pitches in the first inning, but to Liam's credit his control appears well and he didn't get flustered with all the foul balls.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Nice vintage Mauer line drive single.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Ugh....I can't believe they left the bases loaded again!!!!
TwinsFanLV Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Is even one Boston hitter going to be made to duck or move his feet, tonight? Guess not. No fight in this team. Starts at the top.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 50 pitches is too many for the second inning.....
Dougmancaveitch Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Well getting swept at home is always fun.
TwinsFanLV Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Have the Twins made Aviles move his feet even once in this series, or did they send him a hand written invitation to swing from his heels?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 guys, c'mon make a pitch, get a hit, show some pride......something!

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 lol... That Canadian hash is rough stuff Unfortunately not rough enough to dull this pain so far.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Twins are coming back. I can feel it. Bucholz is grooving em.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 When it rains it pours..........crap!!!!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 You know it's bad when your team's highlight so far is cutting off a throw to home.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 It's fine... We are coming back
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 The Twins are now 10 for their last 62 w/RISP. In 19 games they've kept the opposition to 3 runs or less a grand total of two times, and one of those games they lost. In comparison the other teams pitchers have kept the Twins to 3 runs or less 11 times out of 19.
