Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 I just got home from work and am trying to catch up ... bottom of the 2nd and our 2nd run just scored. Yay!
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Thanks for putting this up! I was too lazy to do it. Pelfrey working much faster tonight than last year.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 I'm gonna have to leave mid-game ... have an exercise class tonight.
BigTrane Provisional Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Ha, ha~ Burton in a jam, top 3rd and Mauer can't resist going to the mound... wonder how many times we'll see that this season?

glunn Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 What happened? Orioles score 5 runs.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Pelfrey and Burton happened.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Big hit was a 3 run homer off Burton by Monell.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Orioles now have bases loaded, 1 out.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I think our GMs need to take some PR classes. They are both just agonizing to listen to.
BigTrane Provisional Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Fortunately little time for Antony to talk with all these "quality" at-bats Twins batters are having...
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Gladden doing play-by-play for fireworks was one of the more disturbing things I've ever heard.

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Explain... I would prefer not to... but if you insist. It consisted of a series of "Ooohs", "Aaaahs", and "Wow!"s that could have easily been mistaken for something else.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Hey all... I apologize for not putting a game thread up but thanks to ChiTown the magnificent for getting it up. I just got home from work and my wife is watching American Idol and the remote is tightly gripped. I could over power her but I think that'd be a bad idea. So I'm trying to imagine the Twins on my mind.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 My Wife does and she doesn't even use the HD channels. I don't know what bugs me more... The fact that she watches the show or the fact that she refuses to watch it in HD.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Looking at the score... My mind is imagining terrible thinks.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Glad I went to my exercise class. Staying home to watch the game would have been torture by comparison.
whosafraidofluigirussolo Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Just looking over the box score and this caught my eye:Deolis Guerra - 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 3 K, 1 BB...10 strikes, 4 balls. In other words, Guerra gave up a first-pitch hit, gave up a walk on four pitches, and got three strikeouts on three pitches each. Efficiency!
glunn Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 The game is playing now on MLB channel in California -- 9:25 PST. We could have a west coast game thread if anyone else is watching.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
