The site indicates that tickets are no longer available. Too bad, I will be in the Twin Cities this weekend........................

Masons has agreed to shut down the entire restaurant for the event, which means we will begin selling more tickets at 8AM on Thursday morning. I don’t know how many just yet, but it will be more than a handful and could be as many as 100.

Erickson pitched the first Twins No Hitter in the Metrodome in 1994 and is one of only 7 no-hitters for the Twins' franchise (including the Senators; 5 for the Minnesota years) so he is a pretty significant guy that way too :) A lot of people remember Morris in 1991, but Erickson was the Twins' best pitcher that season and was second in the Cy Young vote after Clemens. Also Erickson was one of the first trades that Terry Ryan did (to Baltimore for Scott Klingenbeck & Kimera Bartee at age 27 in 1995.) Fully great guy to hear talk.

For some reason I'll be tasting beer outside instead......never should have listened to that friend......

The beer dabbler is going to be awesome too. I'm kind of jealous that you get to go to that.

I'm even more glad that I get to go to the Meltdown though. This is going to be awesome.

He ran into arm problems that year. He was 15-3 with a 2.36 ERA but then went 5-5 the rest of the way. I remember he was really nursing that arm along after July. Too bad or he was a shoe in for the Cy Young. From late August of 1990 to late July of 1991 he was definitely the best pitcher in baseball. Personally, I don't think he ever really recovered from those elbow issues though he did have some decent years later.

Lisa Guerrero. Huminah, huminah. Who would you most like to trade with? Scott Erickson or Erik Decker? Chicks dig the athletes.

Sounds like a fun questions, but... 100 out of 100, Eric Decker!!

I remember following that 91 season very closely as a young boy. I would go to the park and throw with my friends and imitate the Scott Erickson wind up. I had no idea how to throw a slider so at least I didn't ruin my elbow! Those were the days when the Twins could actually pitch and play defense. Whatever happened to those basic fundamentals? I cannot remember a single time last season when the Twins played small ball and manufactured a run. Gardy always plays for the big inning.
