glunn Community Moderator Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I'm always impressed with the guys who set numbers--whether that be season totals, NFL games, NCAA BKB over/unders, or what have you. It's pretty rare for them to be way off. I wonder how much the market affects these numbers. I think that Vegas adjusts the numbers if too many people are betting either the over or the under.

If an NFL game moves a point that's a huge move.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Bearing in mind Brian's anecdote, if you buy me a beer I'll drink it but then eventually give it back to you. It'll be a good lesson to learn. I can think of two meanings to this: urine, or Antabuse. The good natured ribbing would end depending on which you meant.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Man is Seth Smith Slowwwwww My recollection from seeing a game there last year is that he really crowds the plate too.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 My recollection from seeing a game there last year is that he really crowds the plate too. I say... Plunk him In that case... He'll just clog the bases up.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Heh. Look at these fools in their multi-use parks. "Fine play by Sogard at the 70 yard line" lol
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I say... Plunk him In that case... He'll just clog the bases up. My view too, even if he's Rickey Henderson on the basepaths. But Liam, the pitcher that day, was much too courteous to bring anything inside.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Another Twins run scored via the power game: infield single plus error, followed by the usual drill.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I don't know what antabuse is. So... Fair enough. I never make fun of a man with bladder control issues.

Well, not that I'm especially playing can-you-top-that, but my wife and I worked for 10 years for a French company. Then my last year at IBM I barely dodged the bullet of being partnered with somebody in Bangalore. That woulda been swell.
