Think About Today... Yesterday was horrible... Just Horrible... Today is a new Day... 2. Think about Kazmir... Oh Let the Sun beat down upon my face... Stars fill my Dreams. Hard not to think about Kazmir without thinking about Kashmir. Robert Plant was inspired to write the lyrics to Kashmir while driving through the Northern Africa desert. That does explain the Desert setting of the song but it does not explain why they titled the Song Kashmir which is miles away and nothing like Northern Africa. As for the Pitcher Kazmir... I Got Nothing... I hope we string some hits together off of him. 3. Think about Colabello... He's back in the lineup... Awesome... I almost forgot he was on the 25 man. When we last saw Colabello... He was heating up and then he got sent down. 4. Think about Morneau... Not in the lineup... No Serious Trade Talks have been reported... If any action is coming... It probably won't be until Wednesday or Thursday. 5. Think about Doctors... A friend of mine just set up his own private practice. I told him that this private practice stuff is a bunch of bull crap. If someone walks through your door in need of doctoring... It's game on. I don't think it's time for practice... Private or Public or whatever.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Capsule movie review: Blue Jasmine is an excellent character study and the raves for Blanchett's performance are deserved, but anyone harboring fears for their own sanity maybe shouldn't go.
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 SO far Pelfrey's pitching well
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 SO far Pelfrey's pitching well At least our guys are swinging when they strike out. First round, Twins.
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 At least Colabello is playing once before they send him back down.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Guess I won't go see it then. My wife didn't appreciate my even smaller-capsule review, "scary". I guess she's more confident in her sanity.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Little League-sized strike zone right there.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 This Twins lineup looks scary good. amiright?
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Pelfrey's back to walking the tightrope. Two walks this inning after getting two strikes on the batter and then not being able to put him away. Not confidence-inspiring.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 And there you are. A single scores a runner. Hopefully Pelf can stop it there.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Ugh. Anyone want to clean out my guest room storage closet? I'll pay you.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Ugh. Anyone want to clean out my guest room storage closet? I'll pay you. Do I get to throw anything away? Been so long since I've gotten to make any headway in a project like that, I'd relish it. But not if it just means putting things into bins and then storing them away again. / I'm talking about other people's stuff - not my own personal belongings. Those, I keep for good reasons
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Twins baseball is infectious.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Indians botch a rundown. Fire Francona?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Twins can't take advantage. Fire Gardenhire?
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Twins can't take advantage. Fire Gardenhire? Perhaps, but first thing's first: get this AAA lineup back to AAA.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Does Pelfrey get his ERA below 5 by season's end? This is the only item of interest for me when he pitches. I say no. He'll get it to 5.02.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Would Michael Cuddyer have scored from third on Wilkin's flyball to right? Because, that's who we "traded" to get Willingham. I liked the deal at the time. Now, not so much. But, in my defense, I thought the money saved would be applied to something.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I've been saying for a while that Colabello should get some at-bats because of the way he mashed at Rochester. However, his big league plate appearances mostly have screamed "AAAA". If he doesn't hit in 200 PAs or so, let him go. Beyond that, I've been griping every time I see Clete, Wilkin, Bernier etc. up that they have to find better than that.
kasu327 Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 did Dick just drop an f-bomb when that foul ball hit near their booth?

I get that he has been below average offensively and has always been terrible defensively, but come on.

The trick is to be insane before you go - then it won't matter. I think I'll see it tomorrow.

But not if it just means putting things into bins and then storing them away again. / I'm talking about other people's stuff - not my own personal belongings. Those, I keep for good reasons Yes! It's easier to make those decisions when someone else makes those decisions! But I got sidetracked. Am now sorting through all my screws and nails and wall hangers as I have some things to hang.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Bernier! Edit: conference on the mound after - "What just happened there?"
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 So...you're just ignoring Willingham's last season? I get that he has been below average offensively and has always been terrible defensively, but come on. No, last season was worth more than the $7M he was paid. But we got him for $21M, and was always an injury risk (which I expect is why you don't send him on a one-out flyball), so I am not confident that the full 21 was well spent.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Cuddy's my all-time favorite player. However, his OPS+ in Colorado is less than the Hammer. I would trade Cuddyer for Willingham in a second, but Cuddy makes $3.5M more than Willingham.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Is this an example of Cleveland playing down to the level of their opposition?
