Bummer... Do you still get to go to Florida?

Yeah ... Dad is in the hospital; not sure when he'll be released, but whenever that is, will be sent to a rehab facility for two weeks. So ... not sure I can take the time for the game, but maybe. Will be a lone outing, without parents then, given the circumstances.

yeah, thanks. He's getting better, I think. At least is getting good care. He has MRSA, which can be quite bad, but they seem to have it under control, so we'll see.

Isn't Cello Suite No. 1 kinda like "Stairway to Heaven" in the rock world.

That better and quite the seque.

So... Music... Desert island... 3 songs to listen to for the rest of your life... What 3 songs?

Your turn.

I know that Faith No More may be more in your Kitchen... It's in my Kitchen to... But Bill Withers is worth checking out for a change of pace.

I've heard all the songs you and CTTF have mentioned - just didn't know the name of the artist. I dig me some Sam Cooke from time to time. I listen to most genres of music, strike modern pop country. Not a huge fan of modern R&B - but pre-1980, it is golden.

lol ... not quite ... not sure what I'd call the equivalent, though

I like almost everything... I'm with you on Pop Country. I love the Red Dirt Country or the authentic Country.

The other style of music that I can't seem to warm up to is... Opera. I just don't like the vocal style.

When I hear a Cello in my head... Which is quite often... I need to get that checked out.

When I hear a cello in my head... It's That Bach piece.

Is used to screw around with singing in an opera style, not that it was technically correct. It used it to warm up my vocals and the band always got a kick out of it.

I wish I knew how to grab a video off a DVD. I'd send you and ChiTown a video of me doing Ride On by AC/DC from 20 years ago.

I laugh when I watch it... I was pretty intense... Eyes shut and everything.

LOL... I was OK... So I don't mind sharing. I just laugh at myself... Acting like a big rock star in a small club.

I would be intrigued and excited to see that!

You should figure it out and post it somewhere. Maybe you can cleverly use it in a game thread.

Um, did you know Nick Swisher sings?

Didnt he put out a children's album or something for charity. Good for him... I think everyone can sing and I like people who go for it.

heh ... just listening to pieces of it on iTunes. Not bad. But I'm not going to buy it, even if proceeds go to charity.

Three songs: Layla by Clapton (Derek and the Dominoes), Hotel California by the Eagles and Suspicious Minds by Elvis. Obviously like Classic Rock, don't mind a lot of other genres, but not country.

Bill Withers--Always liked his work and every time I hear his name or one of his songs I think of a guy I knew in college who we called "Still Bill" when Withers album of the same name was on the charts.

That was a painful watch.

I'd like that comment except I don't like it. But I agree with it. Was. Awful.

Derek and the Dominoes... I love Clapton. Layla is great but I'm talking Bell Bottom Blues over Layla.

"If I could choose a place to die... It would be in your arms... Do you wanna see me crawl across the floor to you? Do you wanna hear me beg you to take me back... I'd glady do it".

That song just drips something special.
