Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 Pretty soon it'll be just the two of us. Cue the Grover Washington.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Cue the Grover Washington. And with that, I'm out of Bill Withers songs.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 Same Hendricks. Except for the alternate spelling.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 And with that, I'm out of Bill Withers songs. We got the big ones... Lovely Day would be the other... After that we got em all.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 He's never managed, has he? Yet so many people think he's the 'heir apparent.' No, he has not managed. He might be the "heir apparent", but I have never deemed him to be as such. Who knows, he might be awful at it. Don't get me wrong, I only said I'd be okay with it, just as I'd be okay with the Twins hiring Tim Wallach of the Dodgers or Willford Brimley of the New York Knights.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Pretty soon it'll be just the two of us.I'm not so bad if you get to know me... minus being a serial killer of course.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 That catch by Dozier was worth waiting for.

And, while I'd be somewhat 'meh' about it, I don't get why people think he should be the next manager when he's never done it. for all we know he wouldn't be good at it. And, personally, I'd rather go outside the organization, but that's likely not going to happen. Heh ... like the reference ... like the movie. It's up there with Field of Dreams and League of Their Own, as far as baseball movies go.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 That catch by Dozier was worth waiting for. Yeah, glad I didn't go out for ice cream .... yet.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Okay ... testing if I did my signature correctly ... name the movie.

And since I haven't seen any of them handle players directly... I end up being hesitant to fully advocate anyone.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 Okay ... testing if I did my signature correctly ... name the movie. James Earl Jones playing the role of Terrance Mann. You know... We never did find out if he came back from the cornfield. If he didnt... Someone in Boston is saying... "now why don't he write".

If he didnt... Someone in Boston is saying... "now why don't he write". You know, in the book, it wasn't Terrance Mann but J.D. Salinger; and Salinger was quite miffed about his name being used in the book in the first place so did not give permission to use his 'likeness' in the movie.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 Oh fer cryin' out loud Yeah... Tonight aint gonna matter much.

I heard that Salinger was kind of a recluse.
