Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Why Not do a game thread... The game is on tonight. I could have put this in the minor league forum but there is more traffic in this forum and it's the normal home of the game thread. Many of us will be watching Sano and Rosario and the others. Pedro Hernandez starting for the Rock Cats. We've seen Hernandez before... Too Bad we couldn't watch Meyer or May instead. Regardless... I'll be watching and enjoying.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 I like that Rosario picked up that charity hop clean in the 1st. Just reaching for any sign that he can field. i like Santana tagging from 1B on the Rosario fly to left.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Listening online to radio 1410, must be in CT. Just heard the squirrely sound in the background when a batter struck out - ayup, must be minor league ball. Anybody happen to know of a video feed through teh interwebs?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Nice play charging in by Sano
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Strikeout by Hernandez! We will see Pedro again.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 We will see Pedro again. If that guy has anything to say about it, yes, we will.
ThePuck Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Sounds like they are going to talk right through this whole game like they did for the last minor league game they aired.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Ok Rosario with a runner in scoring position... Let's see what happens.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Sounds like they are going to talk right through this whole game like they did for the last minor league game they aired. Much more PBP in this one.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Who is this Bigley guy batting third.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Sounds like they are going to talk right through this whole game like they did for the last minor league game they aired. Was it this bad the last game? I don't think there's been more than a total of 30 seconds of dead air since I started watching.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 I hate the Yankees so much that I even hate Trenton.
ThePuck Provisional Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Who is this Bigley guy batting third. Don't know too much about him but they just said the Twins gave him a bonus of almost a million. For a 10 round pick thats a bunch

I don't think there's been more than a total of 30 seconds of dead air since I started watching. With Cedar Rapids we got a split screen with the Fox Sports crew talking over it. Occasional full screen with PBP that sounded like it was coming over a phone line.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Fire the 3B coach for sending the runner with Sano on deck. ruined our chance at watching a Sano salami.

Chance Provisional Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Relax RB he will get to bat again!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Well the foul ball by Sano was hit a long way.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Relax RB he will get to bat again! With the bases juiced?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Out Ortiz looks a little different compared to Boston's Ortiz.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 F7 again I pressed that key; what's supposed to happen?
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Was it this bad the last game? I don't think there's been more than a total of 30 seconds of dead air since I started watching. Assuming I'm getting the same audio feed through their 1410 radio, I could stand the wall of words if they didn't keep repeating the small amount of information they have on hand. I've only been listening off-and-on but heard twice about one of the players being from Brooklyn Park and being a good local MN athlete.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 "What are we doing here? Frank, what's going on?" That's what just came through the audio feed. Slick.

I don't listen to that garbage, but my wife keeps it on in the kitchen.
