So...My kid plays the Czech Republic at 1:30 AM CST. Who all wants to stay up and watch with me? :)

 

I could say that I would... I could even intend to but chances are my head will be uncomfortably cocked to the side as I approach rapid eye movement around 12:30.

 

My wife will then wake up... Come to the living and shut the TV off... Which will cause me to wake and quickly blurt out... "I was watching that".

Alright this bugs me... The fans are getting ripped off.

 

I appreciate the Mauer double... But... That should have been a triple. Joe is great... I'm not calling for a benching but... For 23 million don't go pulling into second like that. You should be on third. And the people who buy tickets deserve a player who busts for third instead of floating into 2nd.

Having raised a fairly athletic daughter, I know with confidence that this young lady would hate knowing that somebody old on teh interwebs thinks that this is pretty darned adorable.

I remember when Mauer first injured his knee, and would hate to have it suffer any more than necessary. The Twins are not in contention and a Mauer knee injury could hurt them for years to come. So I did not mind the glide into second.

Fans really growned about that one. I think its safe to say not many are sticking around any extra innings to watch the Sox and Twins battle it out for 5th place
