Like the Speed at the bottom... Now if they would only run... Well actually get on base first... if they do that... Then put some pressure Mr. Haren and Wilson.

I'm also making the call for a Parmelee Home Run today off Haren. Parmelee loves the low ball... Haren will deliver it.

Atta boy Mauer. Nice AB.

I wasn't sure which Liriano would show up today: the 7 and 2/3 innings of 3 hit Liriano; or the 2 and 2/3 innings of 8 hit Liriano that gets his pitch count up to 50 before the second inning ends. Unfortunately, this looks to be the latter of the two.

Hopefully he can get some stability here.

I can't not watch when Liriano pitches because you never know what's going to happen. This is the Frankie that I'd rather not watch.

I don't have the TV coverage, of course, so somehow it's less bad to "watch" it on MLB Gamecast.

Maybe Mauer SHOULDN'T play a day game after a night game.

It's hard to even imagine what next year's rotation will look like.

He looks totally off. His delivery is all jacked up. How this happens to a once-elite pitcher is really bizarre. How does he not have a consistent delivery that isn't all wonky?

Striking out with a runner on third and one out happens but if you make over 20 million it really can't. Score that run and the game could be different.

Disclaimer... I like Mauer... I really do but he's in the three hole for exactly that moment. A run scored in that at bat and it makes a difference with a head case on the mound.

Disclaimer... I like Liriano... But buck up and compete. Pickup your teammates when they fail. That pitcher on the other side named Dan Haren is real.

I was thinking the same thing about Mauer. He seems like the anti-clutch hitter and more of a rally killer.

Actually, I think it makes perfect sense that a "once-elite" pitcher doesn't have a consistent delivery. Liriano V1 (pre-TJS) had such electric stuff, he was able to get by without having sound mechanics and a smooth, fluid, repeatable motion. At the rate he was going in 2006, no pitching coach in his right mind would have messed with that delivery. Now that Liriano is a coupla years removed from Tommy John Surgery and is getting older, he is having trouble re-inventing himself using the mechanics and tools he has today in 2012. Quite clearly, the Liriano of today is nowhere near Liriano V1. That guy is dead & buried. Time to move on from thinking the guy we are watching now is the same as Liriano V1 from 2006. Two totally different pitchers.

I am so tired of hearing that the job of the 2nd hitter in the bottom of the first inning is to advance one runner one base. This isn't the dead ball era. His job is to get on base. Anything else is a failure. You can't get on base every time, I understand that. But the idea that not getting on base is a success is an insult to our intelligence.

A wasted at bat by Span. You can't get 5 RBI's in one swing to tie the game. Move those Runners over its the third inning. If Mauer and Span are going to perform like this. Let's get ready for tomorrow.

Alright bases loaded. Mauer this is what you get paid for!!!

Infield f'n fly, Mauer?!? With the bases loaded and one out?!? And Morneau ends the inning with a flyout to right. Bases loaded with one out and no runs with our 3rd and 4th batters up... *shaking my head*
