defense… BW has huge range and arm strength that many MLB’r wish they had.

Winokur is barely hanging on as a top 20 prospect right now.

Yup. The K rate sucks but its improving. He has a .347 BABIP this season. He is extending AB’s to see more pitches every season. His .260 ba is actually showing contact rate results and his ops is .100 points higher than last season.  
He is fringe top 20 in one of the best farm’s systems but would be top 10 in half of them.

I think we are forgetting how easy it is to hit AAA pitching... Fedko and Roden were also raking and their numbers have not remotely translated to the majors.

Uh, Wallner has had 1100 PAs in the majors and is 28 compared to Rooker getting only 230 PAs as a Twin at 26 years old, not to mention Wallner has played parts of 5 seasons with the Twins compared to Brent's 2. We are in Sano territory, not Rooker.

Actually, you know who is 26 and has struggled in his first 190 PAs? Alan Roden.

beano fella, I think you outed yourself one too many times as far as not having a clue about minor league players. Clearly, obviously, you have not watched Brandon Winokur play baseball. There really isn't anyone else in the system that has louder tools except for the hit one. Winokur is doing much better this season. Winokur is a better shortstop than Kreidler but not as good as Houston. We simply do not know what Winokur can become at the plate, but compare Aaron Judge at 22 with Winokur at 21 if you wish. Judge had better numbers at A and A+ ball. Winokur is doing fine at A+/AA. Purchase an MLB account and watch some minor league baseball. I understand many people on this site cannot due to time constraints and I could not either until the last few years. I also understand that many are more football fans. But making comments on players you have no knowledge of whatsoever just doesn't work. 

There have been a few people who have suggested using Winokur in a trade. I have no idea how the Twins feel about that but my belief based on watching the big athlete make adjustments in his first few years of professional baseball is that letting Winokur go would be a big mistake ... potentially much bigger than trading Culpepper or Houston who I like quite a bit.
