Is Clemens the 1B of the foreseeable future?

He's got 3 years control, which one would argue are his prime years. He's dirt cheap, I for one think the Twins would be foolish to trade him and invest 1B money somewhere else. He's a fixed cost and proving he's more than a utility guy. Sorry if this is posted somewhere else.

He's either the 1B of the past or of the future, because it's been more than a month since he started a game there.

As good as he was at 1st base,  he  Clemens makes Twins infield defense better at second base and is a good defender there.
