Au contraire. I've heard so much about the great success of the 2023 season that you'd think we appeared in the ALCS. It was a temporary step in the right direction that was quickly, unfortunately back-tracked.

The way the Twins won that series was extremely fun and should never be diminished.

It was fun! I'm not saying it wasn't. But it also wasn't that big of an accomplishment.

Much like the 2009 Game 163. That will likely be the best baseball game I'll ever see in person and nothing will ever take away the feelings it created. But, like the 2023 series, it was a small accomplishment that allowed them to advance to the ALDS, not even the ALCS.

Really good article that sums up where the Twins stand today. Let's keep riding this roller coaster and just hang on and enjoy the view and try not to puke.

How'll ya know ya had fun if ya ain't puking?

Lee is your every day shortstop, that is the decision that was made on opening day.  He has done enough to hold the position until another proven option comes along or they want to promote Culpepper.  Moving him for a utility player sends the wrong message and won't make the team better.

If you want to move Keaschall, do it in the offseason unless it is the outfield where he has at least some experience.

In hindsight, Lee (0-4) started & played well at 3B Friday night - Kreidler (2-4) at SS.

Regardless of what fans want to see or think is best path, the Team is focussed on trying to WIN. They have guys like Clemens - Arcia - Kreidler - Outman - Gray on the roster v. guys from AAA. It seems clear.

If Keaschall hits he won’t get moved. If he doesn’t, Arcia or Clemens or Lee will be in his spot at 2B.

Is Kreidler or Arcia at SS vs. 3B going to add an appreciable number of additional wins.  IMHO that will add up to one or maybe two wins over the course of a season and have no impact for 2027.  So for that you are moving someone who hasn't really played that poorly to warrant to be moved.  Hopefully he is on board with the move, but I am not sure it sends the right message.
