Gio Urshela--minor league deal

Surprising move. He doesn't play shortstop and I don't think he would move Lewis off of third base.

He was solid for the Twins in 2022. Just not seeing how he'll make much of an impact this time around - especially when you considering how bad he was last season.

I have no issues with Twins signing Urshela to be the backup, backup's, backup at 3B.

I guess as long as he isn't taking a St. Paul roster spot or at bats away from Culpepper, Mendez or Schobel, fine, whatever.  I suppose Fedko too, not sure if he's still in the infield picture with Mendez getting a tryout at 1B though.

Are there any other infielders hovering around that level we are still crossing our fingers about? Is Ben Ross still someone we like? Not sure about that.
