JJ McCarthy has made the team and won't be traded for now. Likely to be QB3 on gameday.

Nice to get something for Rouse when he wasn't going to make the team.

Keeping 4 QBs on the 53 man. That’s a surprise.

Only 4 edge rushers right now and 1 center. Yeah I would expect 3-4 moves this week for sure.

Definitely an edge and center coming.

Yup, multiple moves are coming and a few of these fringe guys will lose their roster spots. Still, it shows they have belief in Brosmer even though I think he gets axed tomorrow, clearly they want to get him to the practice squad while other teams are busy filling out their rosters.

Vikings claimed two OL off waivers.... No idea if they are going on practice squad, or main. No other moves announced yet?

The claimed players must go to the 53 man roster. Samac will back up center while Jurgens is hurt, Keegan will be depth. Two players will have to be cut soon... and I expect they sign a veteran edge soon.

Rotational pass rush specialist, yeah, works for me.

He started 13 games even just last year, I'd guess he was hoping to land another starting gig but this had been discussed as an option months ago.

With little exception, I really like the "finalized" 53 man roster. There were a couple of surprises on the practice squad I didn't see coming. And a couple of quick waivers and non-signings that also surprised.

Personally, I thought Rouse looked good at OG in the preseason and I was surprised he was cut/traded. I'm really hoping Keegan and Samac were good additions. Reports on potential indicate they could be.

I don't know how much is left in Van Noy's tank, but I like the signing. Batty and Richter had good camps. Plus, they've been experimenting with Dawkins and Wilson as part time EDGE options. I wonder if the Batty injury lead to the Van Noy signing? Regardless, he knows Flor's system and has been a great pro. All he needs to do is be a sound #3 option.

Having Harry back is pretty awesome, and IMO, not unexpected. He may not be what he once was, but he's still really good. I don't think SAFETY was a weakness without him, but it, and the defense, are better WITH him for one more season. It also allows the 2 Thomas rookie kids a year to learn instead of being pressed in to early action.

As I understand it, Van Noy might spend a couple weeks ramping up before activation. I'm betting Smith is added to the roster almost immediately. I'll be very curious to see the 2 drops for their additions as there's nobody on the roster that I personally want to see dropped, for fear of losing them.

I'm betting on Yurosek to get down to 3 TE. Makes sense. I'd love to keep him on the PS. But who else? Vaughn and you run with 4 CB? Theo Jackson because he didn't take a step forward as hoped in 2025? Surely they don't drop Jacob Thomas simply because he was an UDFA? The kid had a fantastic camp and preseason.

Well, that draft pick sucked.

Yeah, I knew we were signing up for a boom or bust player at the time, so no regrets for me. I really dislike that KOC is trying to hide from it, because I WANT to give everyone credit for being decisive about this instead of being one of those teams that desperately tries to make it work. Two years, then try again, that's what the plan should have been all along.

I'm more annoyed with the local media that is pretending that they were promised McCarthy was going to be the next Tom Brady. Dan Cole is absolutely intolerable about it (I guess he's on when I jump in the car to pick up kids from school). Failure, failure, failure. And with his typically pessimistic take on everything, I'm 100% confident he was in the same boat with me from the start. But have to put on a show for the listeners and play dumb acting like promises were broken and he was blindsided by this.
