Will the Minnesota Twins Reverse the Pablo López Trade This Offseason?

I am struck by all the comments about Falvey’s purported lack of trading prowess.  Joe Ryan, Pablo Lopez, Simeon Woods-Richardson, Taj Bradley, and Nick Abel are all likely to start for the Twins this year.  They were all acquired by Falvey via trade.  I don’t love this front office but sometimes the comments about Falvey just seem like incoherent spew.

While I agree with you on not trading Lopez, the chances of the Twins being able to extend Ryan are between slim and none - and if I were a betting man, I'd take the latter.

Arraez is a singles hitter with little speed who, as a result, doesn't show up anywhere near the leaders in runs scored for a season. I get that people enjoy watching him battle at the plate, but that's about as far as it goes. There's a reason his market isn't developing.

The funny thing about Arraez is he really doesn't fit 'the small ball' model, because he is slow afoot. He's better suited to a team where he gets his single and the next 2-3 batters hit a home run.

I agree, I don't really think he's a great signing idea, just one I'd expect to be made
