Ty France Won a Gold Glove!

I have to believe this is a surprise. His defense wasn't supposed to be good at all, but he performed very well for the Twins. Good for him.

The eye test i used definitely thought he deserved to be in the running.

Agree, and I think the process for awarding Gold Gloves is much better than it used to be. France worked hard on his defense and it paid off. The two others for consideration were Vladdie Jr. and Carlos Santana.

Gotta say that I'm very surprised, if not shocked, by Ty France winning a gold glove, but kudos to him for working hard to earn the award. But  what happened to him for Toronto in the post-season? I don't recall see his name in any of the box scores.

He wasn't on the roster for the first 2 series, and they played the hot players the rest of the series. PH in game 3 and ended up going 1-3 and also an 0-1 in game 4.

Toronto has the Gold Glove runner-up Vlad Jr. on the roster. After watching the World Series I think Vlad got robbed by France.
