Even though it was bobbled, Myers recovered quickly and had a strong throw to the cut-off man.

 

Edit: Myers was playing really deep too, so it didn't take him long to get to the ball.

I reject the idea that somehow Mauer is "special" and should play a different game than all other MLB players.

He is different and special, he is a hall of famer who is paid 23 mil a year and has had injury issues. U don't send him when he is out by 20 feet at home in a meaningless game/season. Anyone else not named morneau? Yeah, think dofferently if you want to send em.
