Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 Both Detroit and the Mets are on the verge of ridiculous collapses. Will either happen?

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 Baseball is such a funny game. I find it interesting that last year... The Tigers sold vets at the deadline and went on a historic run with nothing but youth. They started 2025 with youth and continued the historic run. They then added vets and reduced youth at the deadline and collapsed. Not making any claims... just saying it's interesting. Also the rise of Arizona and Cleveland after selling at the deadline. Baseball is such a funny game. FlyingFinn 1

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 25, 2025 Posted September 25, 2025 Houston collapsed and is on the outside looking in. Toronto is also collapsing, but already locked up a playoff spot. I expect the Yankees to overtake Toronto and win the East, and Toronto to bow out in the wild card round.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 Kinda hope Detroit figures it out this weekend and Houston gets swept, but Detroit plays Boston and Houston plays LAA. And we know which teams MLB would rather have....
mnfireman Verified Member Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Detroit and Cleveland in; Houston out. Guess they were the biggest collapse...
