Game 7 - 100 Years Ago Today!!!!

I just thought someone should bring it up.  
The Washington Star reported:

”Washington’s stout-hearted gladiators rose from the forlorn ruins of crumbling hopes and crushed the mighty Giants in the twelfth inning of the greatest contest in the history of the game.”

Walter Johnson unexpectedly came out in the 9th and pitched 4 innings of shutout-out ball.   Was that winning ball hit to 3B an error or a bad hop?   Who knows?  But it was a great moment for the franchise and commemorated this year by Senators’ pennants flying above the right field stands, a World Series 1924 logo in right field, and a meager display in the concourse of the second deck.  
That franchise didn’t win another World Series until 63 years later in 1987.  And the final play was also a ground ball to 3B, but Gaetti  fielded that one cleanly and threw to Hrbek for the final out.

I thought this was a reference to how long it feels like since we’ve played in a game 7

The Twins should have a wall dedicated to accomplishments and history of the Washington Senators.  There must be some memorabilia in storage.   

First in War, First in Peace, Last in the American League.
