Ryan had a grade 2 strain of the teres major. It's not considered serious at all in regard to becoming a long term issue, but it takes a while for that to heal up. Kinda like a pulled hamstring. The expectation is always a full recovery, but it generally takes a player close to 2 months to return. If the regular season was still ongoing at this point, I'd expect Ryan would probably be throwing bullpens by now.
