GCTF Verified Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Sale, what a joke. All we had to do to get him off his game was hit him with a batted ball and spike him.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Oops... Gardy clearly didn't consruct the White Sox lineup good. Power doesn't belong in the lead off spot... Sheesh. You get to be Carnac tonight, it appears.

greengoblinrulz Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Since Memorial Day, Dozier has hit .310/.385/.517 in 19gms (58ABs) entering tonite w/10r 3hr 7rbi
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Whether its Twins TV or radio, they always say the move to hold up the runner was the right move (almost always isnt IMO).Wish there was some kind of sabermetric site that tracked 3rd base coaches when there is a decision to make. With one out and a power hitter or two coming up, there's some justification to be cautious that time.
greengoblinrulz Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 With one out and a power hitter or two coming up, there's some justification to be cautious that time. Not harping on just this case, but a power hitting Willingham hitting .210 & power hitting Morneau w/2HR.....I like making the other team making a GREAT play to beat you rather than being cautious. Not like Dozier is a slow runner (at least on this team). All situations are different, but I prefer to be aggressive always
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Ok... For some reason... It's warm in the house... I got up to get a fan to move the air around. My wife says... Get a nice glass of water... Its her answer for everything... She's like the constant water peddler for the past year or so... She could do it for a living... I could be taking a shower or swimming in a lake and she'd tell me to have a glass of water. I have been married for decades and gave up a long time ago.

greengoblinrulz Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Plouffe can hit lefties, that is not a problem with his game!!
greengoblinrulz Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 That is encouraging. If he can keep that up then we have found our permanent 2B.Eddie Rosario just said 'dammit'
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Not harping on just this case, but a power hitting Willingham hitting .210 & power hitting Morneau w/2HR I was thinking more about propensities to hit it in the air versus on the ground - but am too lazy to go do anything rash like actually looking something up.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Speaking of which... "Touchback." "Touchback." //chuckles and knowing looks between Ed and Johnny// "What should Glorm do if Olivia touches first?" That creates a very pleasant picture in my mind. On a different note, I once met Johnny. He was friendly and intelligent -- a good guy.
