We're not calling up guys out of A-ball to start games on the MLB roster any longer. 

I'll give you Taylor, but Margot showed immediately that he was not a good option in CF. Which left us with Martin and Castro.... 

When Buxton went on the IL Kiersey should have been called up, at least the defense would not have suffered.

Quite possible but he is an asset that wont win an arbitration case and is still twins property that could be included in a trade as soon as he is healthy and plays his first game.  Even his badly damaged reputation as always hurt is worth a sweetner in a trade.

If you look at St Paul outfield roster, they have Buxton who is currently not playing, Holland on the 60 day disabled list, McCusker and E Rodriguez. They also have Eeles who has played 9 games in the outfield this year and 2 last, and Prato who isn't having much of a season. Rodriguez was one of 4 outfielders at double A, only 3 now. Emma was the best possible candidate to send to 3A, I doubt there was even any thought given to possibly sending him to the majors when the move was made.
