 if Phil Mackey had gotten his way (he wasn’t the only one)… you and I wouldn’t be having this conversation now. There wouldn’t be a forum for us to have a coherent discussion at all.

That the owners of this site stuck to their guns and pushed through is why we have what we do.

They let you post content created elsewhere here. Do you understand how privileged you are?

Try putting up a Jeff Bezos or Sam Walton poster up in your local boutique and see how they like it.

Although, I didn’t need the history lesson to dislike about 90% of Mackey’s takes on….anything…I don’t mind having another reason to avoid him.

Such an old beef none of the links are good anymore but we are talking about a fanbase that still talks about current moves in the spirit of the great Tom Kelly.  No grudge like a silent, forever, midwestern grudge.  I though the gall was maybe that it was unacceptably too positive.  It was a bit rosy, tbh.

Had Mackey himself posted it, maybe you could justify a little butt hurt.  Relying on everyone to know the unspoken grudges is a bit silly, its something I might post in the literal thread discussing other media views on the Twins.  Should I have to worry about hurting a feeling by posting something?

Glad to hear Brock had an appropriate level of BYTO red-ass coming on board, it's so fitting.  I miss word filters.  I truly wonder how much of the early moderation was the BYTO element.

Nothing says "mature adult" like holding onto a grudge against a stranger for over a decade. Is there a statute of limitations on hurt feelings? Or does this time capsule of bitterness last forever?

Mackey's doing well. The site's doing well. Yet a few people on this site are still stewing over hurt feelings from *2009*?? Let it go, folks. Holding onto silly grudges is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

Imagine the gall it takes to share a Minnesota Twins video on a forum specifically dedicated to discussing the Minnesota Twins. The sheer audacity! I'd ask for forgiveness, but I'm sure I'll just hear about this from a total stranger in 15 years' time anyway. 🤣
