I didn’t know that about Carolina not having a first round pick.

Howell is going to be a top 10 guy soon? Sheesh kirk can’t even get into a lot of top 10 lists.

So who’s definitely drafting a QB in round one? Bedsides Arizona

We never know. But it's definitely not ten teams.

Kenny Pickett went as the QB #1 two years ago, and I don't know that he'd even crack the top ten this year. There will be upside QBs going all over this draft.

Kirk’s going to be 36 next year. Except for a couple of modern all time great HOFers, you don’t want to commit 36-year-old QBs to multi year deals.

I sure dont

Teams that could draft a QB IMO:

Patriots, jets, Steelers, raiders, Washington, giants, packers, bears, falcons, Tampa, Carolina, Arizona, and possibly the rams

All those teams with the exception of maybe Pittsburgh will probably finish ahead of us

Jets will pick the worst one available.  Its a team tradition.

How is that negative lol it’s just the reality of what’s happening. QB driven league. You can’t win with a bad one. Teams often overdraft for QBs. Anthony Richardson went #4 last year.

Im just saying, you guys expect the Vikings to be able to have their pick of the better team QBs if they go and win 8-9 games. I wouldn’t be so sure about that

Thats why Im OK with them losing.  The more they do so the better the draft position.

I'll say this, as much as I like Flores, they are playing bad teams....

The entire NFC besides Philly are mediocre to bad teams. We just got through the gauntlet of our schedule at 4-4.

Sure, but that doesn't change my thoughts on the defense. So was the opposing QB today? How much did they score? I like Flores a lot..... But they aren't playing even average QBs right now.

Why though? Even if you draft a qb, it’s not like he has to play immediately. I remember a time when even the greatest QBs to ever play had to sit the bench a couple years. Kirk still has skills and if he heals up the right way, he could give another couple years of quality play. Seems like he’s a team leader who the other players love and the full rebuild doesn’t look like it’ll happen now

SF is the only impressive win of the year. They did play KC tough. Other than that, the competition hasn’t been great

If Kirk wants to sign a very team friendly 1 year deal, I’ll welcome him with open arms. If he still wants the 3 year, fully guaranteed contract, sorry dude. Good luck with your new team.

It was reported that extension discussions broke down this season because he wanted another 3 year fully guaranteed contract. Kwesi did not want to extend him that long and they agreed on this being the last year of the contract.

Since 1979, six teams have overcome an 0-3 start to make the postseason. Here’s a look at each instance:

1. 1981 New York Jets: Started 0-3, fell to 1-3-1, finished at 10-5-1, lost in the wild card round

2. 1982 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Started 0-3, finished 5-4 in strike-shortened season, lost in wild card round

3. 1992 San Diego Chargers: Started 0-3, fell to 0-4, finished 11-5, won the AFC West, won in the wild card round, lost in the divisional round

4. 1995: Detroit Lions: Started 0-3, fell to 3-6, finished 10-6, lost in the wild card round

5. 1998 Buffalo Bills: Started 0-3, finished 10-6, lost in the wild card round

6. 2018 Houston Texans: Started 0-3, finished 11-5, won the AFC South, lost in the wild card round

They didn't play an entire solid game against them, but they played way better than expected against Hurts and Mahomes. The recent cupcake teams sure help, but I'd have liked to see those matchups later in the year as the defense seems to be meshing better and I'm seeing fewer brain farts and blown coverages.

I'm not signing him for three years, no way.

One year max for me. No no-trade clause. And I'm still drafting a QB.

He'll be able to get a better deal on the open market though. Someone will give him three years.

Agreed. Too bad he got hurt, there might be a decent defense here....

Well, if 13 teams need a new QB according to @Aggies7, Kirk will absolutely get a fully guaranteed 3-4 year deal. It won’t be from the Vikings.

I think he was no brainer gone if the season never got revived
