If he continues to rake, they'll move him up to High A closer to midseason when the weather warms up. I could even see him get a cup of coffee in AA at the end of the season if he keeps rolling. I think the Twins won't hold him back, but they're also only going to be as aggressive as his performance warrants. As I read this, jm, I was thinking the same. Let him start in Ft. Myers and then move up to Cedar Rapids by Memorial Day. But Cedar Rapids is the only stop before AAA where a player can learn to deal with the weather they will deal with each spring while with the Twins. For that reason, an argument could be made that he should start his season in Iowa so that he can learn to deal with the cold weather before getting to AAA or the Twins. RpR 1

Maybe start 21 year old season at AA and then move to triple A. Can he debute at 22 if all goes well? That would be amazing That's very slow if he's truly elite.

Not sure what you want the Twins to be doing with them that they aren't. Waiting less than a year after drafting Lee to have him in AAA ... Agreed, does not seem like foot dragging.... chpettit19 1

I thought about moving it up a year but very few players make it by 21 years old so I took the conservative route which is still pretty darn young. Mike Sixel 1
