If playoffs started today...

OK, lets assume that the Twins will hang on to the Central as long as Rocco doesn't manage too much. If they started today they would host the Astros as the lowest seed wild card team for 2 of 3 all at. Target. No matter who it is the wild card team will have a better record than the division champ Twins but 2 of 3 at home will still be very possible. I assume that tickets are available now and a packed house would make a huge difference. Shades of the Metro Dome? If they can actually get into the divisional playoffs anything is possible since the only truly scary teams are both in the NL. Go Twins.

Astros are a tough matchup.  Great lefty starter, massive playoff success already accomplished, and the Twins with a huge playoff voodoo hex looming over them.  Would prefer to meet another team.....

We need to avoid the Astros thats 100%.

Valdez is great and will have us starting our B team. Then it goes to JV. Quick death likely. I will say though I do not fear anything beyond those two.

Rangers still tough because of Montgomery and Scherzer is a vet. But there is a chance they are dumb and go Scherzer/Evoldi first and give us a shot to duel them with Lopez and Gray while getting hot vs a right hander which we can do at any moment.

Seattle looking unlikely but I still prefer them of the 3. Yes the starters are legit but they are all right handed. We did well against all them at least once(kirby dominated 1 and got hit 1) and their bullpen is mehhh. Also while greatly heating up, their lineup is easily the least deep of the 3 and they strike out a ton like us.

Blue Jays are the dream, but lets be honest they aint making it so Ill stop at that.

Long way to go still for teams.

But Astros starting to get West control again which is good for us. Although most ideal would be them getting second WC. So we avoid them for two rounds. But so long as they dont get the 6 thats biggest key.

Mariners slowing up a bit. Rangers pitching is a disaster. Blue Jays now have the 6 spot over Rangers currently.

Careful what you wish for but that Toronto team is still who I want.

Astros have a very easy schedule coming up so they should get West control. Rangers and Mariners play each other a bunch. So solid chance Blue Jays slip in over one of them.

That offense is still going to play in October. Itll turn into a battle of bullpens.

Toronto just has so many holes. And they may also get dumb and not even try to throw the lefty against us.

FWIW it's all three games in one venue, so home field advantage through all three.
