Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 What happened to Plouffie? thats a good question
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 thats a good question Then you owe us some Comedy Gold on that one too.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 What happened to Plouffie?Just read the PP report--calf tightness. Apparently the other calf from the one that bothered Trevor in spring training.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 How y'all like our #2 hitter now? And our RF platoon also comes through in the bottom of the first. Plus, the third-string catcher who shouldn't be up gets a base knock.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Just read the PP report--calf tightness. Apparently the other calf from the one that bothered Trevor in spring training. Bilateral, you're saying?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 All of our catchers hit unless they play DH.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 And the inning ends with a Hicks strikeout. Failed to see that coming. Still a crooked number in the first, and Cy Deduno on the mound. Promising beginning.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Then you owe us some Comedy Gold on that one too. Gardy had him in the lineup... The training staff administered a pre-game concussion test and got the urine sample mixed up with Terry Ryan's. Gardy got the report and benched him because of elevated levels of hallucinogens. that's Funny cuz... Terry Ryan is on Hallucinogens and the training staff used a urine sample for a concussion test.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 OK, I reconsidered and I guess I owe you one. Q: Why are umpires fat? I'll save the corny answer for later in the game after you've delivered the gems we know you're capable of. For out of town restaurant ease: They walk into restaurants and when they hand them a menu... They just hand it back and say yes please. they will get better
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 that's Funny cuz... Terry Ryan is on Hallucinogens and the training staff used a urine sample for a concussion test. Also funny because you had Gardy as manager, rather than some random potted plant to fill the role. / wait, I forgot I still like Gardy, mostly
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Excellent game thread gentlemen. Our posters and the Twins are all off to a good start!
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Anyone thinking 3 runs is going to be enuf?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Excellent game thread gentlemen. Gentlemen? Who came in unannounced?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 OK, I reconsidered and I guess I owe you one. Q: Why are umpires fat? For Positioning Instruction Ease: When the supervisor of umpires review tapes for proper umpire positioning. They are easy to spot with the Goodyear Blimp footage.maybe they won't get better but I will keep trying.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Can I be the first to say that it would sure be alot of fun having this Brewers team on the schedule for 19 games instead of 4?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Excellent game thread gentlemen. Our posters and the Twins are all off to a good start! Welcome Glunn... Your usual late arrival I see.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 they will get better Someone ask RocketPig to implement a Meh button alongside the Like.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Anyone thinking 3 runs is going to be enuf? Not likely, but Sam might be our ace, who knows.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Can I be the first to say that it would sure be alot of fun having this Brewers team on the schedule for 19 games instead of 4? I clicked Like but really would prefer to wait a few more innings with a more substantial lead to conclude this. / especially after the way the top of the second went
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Can I be the first to say that it would sure be alot of fun having this Brewers team on the schedule for 19 games instead of 4?Seriously, they should be better, shouldn't they? I know the Twin haven't faced the top of the rotation, but they have three All-Stars--Gomez, Braun, and Segura. Lucroy is a solid catcher. That is a way better core for the Brew Crew.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Gentlemen? Who came in unannounced? He must be speaking of me.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Well, now I can sleep tonight. I've been lying awake tossing and turning wondering what Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven put on their hot dogs.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 He must be speaking of me. Bwahahahahahahahahaha... oh, sorry, yes, that must be it.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Gentlemen? Who came in unannounced? We moderators have to be omnipresent to keep up with a handful of troublesome posters.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Well, now I can sleep tonight. I've been lying awake tossing and turning wondering what Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven put on their hot dogs. Gotta go eat dinner. I'll be back later on with a dozen or two take-offs on this concept. Meanwhile, go Twins.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Welcome Glunn... Your usual late arrival I see. I am still at my office grinding out work. The two hour time difference only makes it seem like I am late.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Someone ask RocketPig to implement a Meh button alongside the Like. I gotta admit... It would have been easier for all if you would have asked... How fat are umpires? Asking why they are fat... Is hard to do without consulting a physiology textbook. BTW... I took physiology in College cuz I thought there would be naked girls to study. I dropped it real quick when I found out that it was about the immune and respitory system. I had much more success studying girls in my Rock Band.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Bwahahahahahahahahaha... oh, sorry, yes, that must be it. I'll admit it. That stung a tad.

The extra padding protects them when they blindly walk into stuff. The Elevators in their Hotels move faster. OK that's all I got... Did any of those work?
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 The bullpen is probably exhausted after last night. Let's hope that the Dude can go at least 6 inning.
