I don't mind having that role on the roster but he has to pitch in situations other than full mop up. To have not pitched in a week when the rest of the pen is strained doesn't help anyone. I might have used him instead of Moran with a 4 run lead. Same difference possibly but at least I'm using a fresh guy.

Not sure why Ortega, who recently pitched two innings , was used instead of Duran or Balazovic. 

Moran had a bad three batters and Pagan, who has evaded issues lately, did his thing.

Without Moran's contribution we still maintain the lead.

Without Pagan's contribution we still maintain the lead.

Bases loaded with no outs but a 4 run lead should not be an automatic tie game.

They have in effect a 12 man pitching staff.

No K's in the 9th so they got that going for them.  Which is nice going out on a positive note.
