Don't know if you watched any of the White Sox game tonight, but they went into the 7th inning leading 3-0 over the Rays with Lance Lynn throwing a no-hitter.  Then the proverbial wheels came off - and the axles - and the transmission. Tampa scored 10(!) runs in the 7th, another run in the 8th and one more in the 9th to humiliate the Sox, 12-3. (Their 10th consecutive loss) It looks like our pal Berto from the West Side will have some more material to work with.

We haven’t exactly been a historic dynasty ourselves.  We just folded like a cheap tent in a hurricane and finished behind them in the standings last year, for crying out loud.  They’ve won a World Series more recently than we’ve won a single playoff game.

Seriously? You are comparing us to them? Oh for crying out loud! We might not have a great team, but we have a pretty decent team and do have some good things going for us. I hear some of the same things from Twins fans that I heard from this Sox fan. It’s always frustrating to lose, especially to bad teams, but we aren’t going to win them all and bad teams aren’t going to lose them all.

The Whitesox have had four 90-win seasons since the turn of the century.  They don't look good going forward either.   The Twins have a bunch of young talent and more on the way very soon.   This franchise is in a much better position for the next few years.

Epic rant! Listening to that was like waiting for my kids to go to sleep and then eating their Halloween candy. I almost feel a little bit guilty about how good it is.
