I would hope that, in the unlikely event Carroll read my post, he would understand the word Grandpa to be a term of endearment, probably like he hears every day from his teammates.

 

But from Plouffe's perspective it has to seem a bit surreal to be pinch-run for by a guy >10 years older than himself.

 

And from my perspective as a fan, it's part of what makes the game great, the mix of skills that come together to make a team.
