Twins hitters have been on the opposing end of Alex Colomé’s cutter more than a fair share of times. Yet after recent speculation, there’s a chance that the White Sox reliever could be headed across the division.A new name flushed into Twins offseason talks earlier this week when Darren Wolfson of KSTP reported that the organization has shown interest in White Sox reliever Alex Colomé.

The Twins have already made a move in the pen, signing flame-thrower Hansel Robles. The addition of a division foe in Colomé could beef up a bullpen that needs to be stellar if the Twins want to make a deep run in October.

As always, it's about weighing the potential production with the cost.  If it's 1yr/$6mil, I say yes, please!

Sorry, can't agree.  As you pointed out, his K/9 is awfully shaky for a closer-type.   Assuming Hendriks salary puts him out of reach, I would much prefer Trevor Rosenthal who has come back nicely from a season-ending injury.  Great k/9 numbers and a proven closer!

Looks like the Twins could afford both Rosenthal and Colomé. Rosenthal is only at $2 million....am sure he wants more....but still. Rosenthal is probably better...from the track record and what I remember of him in KC.

Rosenthal is also my first choice due to velocity, K numbers and being a few years younger too, I believe. I'd like to think he would come in between $5-6M.

But I would be fine with Colome on a 1yr. SO are not everything, no matter how nice they are. Ground balls, pop ups, weak fly balls also work. And for him, it's been working for a while now.

Just get a good arm and then re-sign Clippard.

I wouldn't be opposed to Bradley or Yates either for a little less.
