Shaitan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Delmon Young has the most RBIs as a Twins player in a season since 2010, at 112. I kinda forgot that he was basically Eddie Rosario but with terrible defense in his prime. Wow. The things we forget.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Gotta say i enjoyed A.J. IN the booth last night on Fox, not a smalley fan
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Gotta say i enjoyed A.J. IN the booth last night on Fox, not a smalley fanI've heard AJ before, and he's fantastic. Would be a great get as TV color guy.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 We got what we needed from Dobnak, but it wasn't exactly pretty. Command wasn't what it normally was out of him, and saw a ton of foul balls. However, he went 5, didn't allow a runner to second base, and only walked one. Have to take that out of the 7th best starter on your roster.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 How smooth was that polanco play? Also, almost 2 hours for 4.5 innings....maybe ALL games should be 7 innings long
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Dobnak, Hill and Maeda show that there is more than one way to get batters out in the major leagues.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Dobber nice job, take 5 and fly any game he pitches,
Shaitan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Nice, quick inning there! Would like to see one of our starters go 6 innings soon. With 30-man rosters + modern baseball? Ha! Impossible.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Dobnak with his best "good Sam Deduno" impersonation tonight.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Jake Odorizzi, any new News ?
70charger Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Well that time the aggressive baserunning paid off.
wabene Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Still in the 2nd so i just have one eye open but i have to say i was worried after last night but gol darn they are handing it to Wookinger
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Dobnak, Hill and Maeda show that there is more than one way to get batters out in the major leagues. Dobnak is what I'd call a traditional workhorse type pitcher
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Still in the 2nd so i just have one eye open but i have to say i was worried after last night but gol darn they are handing it to WookingerWookinger? Is that your way of saying you think he looks like a Wookie with his long locks?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Dobnak, Hill and Maeda show that there is more than one way to get batters out in the major leagues.Yes, excruciatingly slowly is one way
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 The music after every pitch....criminy
70charger Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Wookinger? Is that your way of saying you think he looks like a Wookie with his long locks? That's what I got from that. Hairy dude.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Speaking of Cleveland pitchers, what do you think Phil Maton's mom is planning for his 15th birthday?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 It took me 3 hrs to get through the dmv line to get my license renewed ... and 2 of those hours were outside, down the sidewalk for two blocks
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 The music after every pitch....criminy I wonder if the players have a say in this at all ... if they prefer having some noise, no noise or what?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Oof, should have at least gotten one run there.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I hope that doesn’t come back to bite us
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 That's what I got from that. Hairy dude.I actually like his long hair ... but it needs a good brushing
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Brutal effort by the 5-6-7 batters there. Situational awareness ranking: zero.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I've heard AJ before, and he's fantastic. Would be a great get as TV color guy."When he's in the other team's broadcast booth, you hate him. When he's in your broadcast booth, you just hate him a little less."
wabene Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Wookinger? Is that your way of saying you think he looks like a Wookie with his long locks? You definitely get me Ms Squirrel. I think both of these young pitchers could use a makeover but i do enjoy watching the Dobber pitch.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 The good news is that there will be a vaccine by the time we get to the 9th inning
T_J Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Does anyone know if the starter still picks the uniform for the day?
