bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Bad challenge, doesn't look like it hit Cruz. What did the Twins staff see that we didn't?
MABB1959 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 No Sano, no Buxton and now no Donaldson. We aren't even a week in and these guys already need a day off or is something else wrong?
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 It didn't hit him, did it?No. Absolutely baffling challenge here - every fan watching the broadcast at home on the couch could see he wasn't hit. And Cruz wasn't even lobbying for a challenge.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 No Sano, no Buxton and now no Donaldson. We aren't even a week in and these guys already need a day off or is something else wrong?Donaldson was pulled - likely injured, we're waiting on the news.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Aggressive baserunning cost him, but I don't know if I necessarily disagree with it.
T_J Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I was right with Eddie going to 2nd... Dude played that ball perfectly
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Aggressive baserunning cost him, but I don't know if I necessarily disagree with it.normally I wouldn’t but he was out by a mile
MABB1959 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Buxton already needs a day off? Starting to not be a fan of his anymore. If he needs to be treated like the princess and the pea we might as well trade him but I who would want a part time super star?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Aggressive baserunning cost him, but I don't know if I necessarily disagree with it. No, I guess not ... the carem off teh wall was perfectly played

They said they were planning on bringing him along slowly while they still had expanded rosters
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Cleveland ain't hittin' 'em where they ain't tonight.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Hasn't been real effective, but Dobnak has four scoreless thus far. Only threw 73 in his first start, at 70 right now. Have to imagine he is capped at around 90
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 This Avila guy is growing on me....
70charger Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Oh there it is: right calf tightness.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Still no word on Donaldson?Right calf tightness.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 This may be the best umpire I have seen...ever
Shaitan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I just tuned in. I have to assume that Nick Swisher spiked Donaldson earlier?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Author Posted August 1, 2020 C'mon Adtrianza! It doesn't have to be the full torrential downpour, just some nice drizzle.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Oh there it is: right calf tightness.Thats...not good. Right calf is a long term problem for him.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 This may be the best umpire I have seen...everI tuned in only briefly for the top of the first, then had to go out again, but I had a similar positive snap evaluation of his ball-strike calling. I like the audible call that gives the location when it's not a strike, but I also thought a couple of borderline calls were correct. Way too small a sample size, but there's just something about this guy. Don't know if I had heard of Jordan Baker before, but I plan to remember the name.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Author Posted August 1, 2020 Oh well. Forgive me if i post behind the times... Still haven't splurged on mlb and gameday is not exactly fast.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 This may be the best umpire I have seen...everHe missed one obvious strike from Dobnak, but otherwise he has been very consistent.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Dobnak has been a magician so far - not sure how much longer he's going to be able to get away with this stuff.
