Data Report

The plan going forward is to post data reports every Sunday so everyone can see the machinery working. I think transparency, the sharing of the information, helps everyone feel a part of it, understand it and I believe it can help everyone see that there is at least an attempt of a method in play.  

 

I realize it isn't Sunday yet but I thought I would post some participation stats on the first game thread of the operation so everyone can see why the participation poll is in place. 

 

Keep in mind that we don't have enough data to draw any conclusions and we won't for awhile but we will keep tracking and are hopeful, that over time, certain truisms, patterns will reveal themselves.   

 

Tuesday Night: September 24

50 people have access to this forum

11 of us signed up to participate in the participation poll 

20 people actually participated in the game thread (out of the 50 people with access).

 

The game thread produced a total of 408 posts spanning 21 pages of content. 

 

Result: The numbers were solid and sufficient to produce a great game thread with no issues.

I will be tracking this type of information and posting a weekly snapshot every Sunday. Yes, I know that our season will end after the World Series win but, this is how it starts and will hopefully continue into next year. 

 

Obviously, the data will be worthless if 20 people participate and only 11 announced participation unless I check each thread by hand to include the ones who didn't announce participation.

 

This is why it will helpful to go back and check your participation if you didn't check the box but did indeed participate.

 

Because, this is something new, I will go into each game thread and check the actual participation by hand until everyone gets the hang of it... but I hope to get to the point to where I don't have to because it will be accurate. 

 

The actual participation is the most important thing that all of us can produce but the information from the participation poll will help produce sustained success. 

 

In final... It was a great first night of this. The next update will posted on Sunday.

This group produced 229 posts out of a total of 408 for 56% of the total content.

It was a good week. There are no conclusions to draw from the information yet. Keep an eye on the numbers. I will post them weekly. Once the data gets more stable, the consistencies will reveal themselves.
