notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I really don't understand this bullpen management at all. You had the lead. Why bring in AAA callups and GIBSON?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 Uggh! Three run homer.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 You had a lead and a chance to put the dagger in. Littel/Duffy/Romo should be available. Rocco is so freaking cautious.
denarded Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Gibson is Gibson. Great against inferior opponents, not so much vs. talented teams/pressure. Whomever sighed above I concur
bighat Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Better take care of business with Chicago, Detroit and KC. Rocco making sure there's no room for error in the last 2 weeks.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Gibson shouldn't be pitching... Astudillo shouldn't be catching. The perfect storm.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I really don't understand this bullpen management at all. You had the lead. Why bring in AAA callups and GIBSON?Apparently no relievers can pitch back to back days.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Apparently no relievers can pitch back to back days. Easily avoidable if you don't use openers three times in two days.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Apparently no relievers can pitch back to back days. Yup... all 40 of them.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I'm a Rocco defender but this is easily his worst game of the year, horrendous from him.
Blake Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Very disheartening. Twins took the lead yesterday and the fielding didn't slack off. Today? However, as we all know, this team isn't out of it until the game is actually over.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Why didn’t Berrios start?
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 How many errors and Dumb mental mistakes, Hey you didnt clinch anything yesterday,, So why r they playing like they did ?? and Rocco== No comment or ill get banned
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Easily avoidable if you don't use openers three times in two days. But Berrios needs an extra day. Because.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 What in the world is Gibby doing in this game?
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Yup. Baldelli has lost it. Worst job of managing a game all season, and there have been many very questionable tactics and decisions. And such a very important game. Unbelievable. And he made all three errors.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Why didn’t Berrios start? He needed extra rest. So did Garver. And Polanco.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 Astudillo will never want to catch Gibson again.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 And he made all three errors.Yup, and he bounced all those balls in the dirt, too. From both Romero and Gibson. Amazing reach that Baldelli. He put them in the game, I think. A game that they were so fortunate to be leading in the 6th, with only 12 outs to get. Mental errors count. His mental errors, in my opinion.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Astudillo will never want to catch Gibson again.Astudillo should not catch another game until the division is clinched. We have two actual, competent catchers on the roster.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Gibson's bouncers are threatening El Cherubo's sunny disposition.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 maybe next year eddie can trade in his old 2b glove for a 1b mitt?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Wow, thankfully that’s done. That was the most brutal inning. If there is a silver lining, at least Cleveland isn’t up 10-4 after that.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I'm not sure which is worse, watching this or watching the Queens decide to give their offense and kicking game the week off. Therefore, I'm not watching either one, at least for the time being.

I'm watching NFL Red Zone, somewhat entertaining and a good alternative to both MN games right now.

70charger Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 How much can you make up for terrible defense? Two home runs help.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I guess we can expect Baldelli to let Astudillo pitch now in the 7th.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Way to go, Eddie! Don't give up, boys, this game is still right there to be had.
