D.C Twins Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Um...we just signed O'Rourke....are anxiously awaiting a 20 year old savior and are constantly rotating from the AAA smorgasbord.... So, uh, one equally as reasonable perspective is that things are getting a bit desperate due to poor pitching planning which hearkens back all the way to last winter Vanimal46 1
brvama Provisional Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 While I don't like giving up a 11.5 game lead, is it likely that the Indians will continue playing at a .719 clip, as they have since June 2nd? At the same token will this team continue the .517 clip they've had during the same period? Yes I have concerns and all could go to ashes, but this is still a very good team. The Twins had their great run out of the gate and the Indians mid-season. With 46 games left, anything can happen. I'll enjoy the run with a bit of confidence, and hope, that the Twins return to playing as they can. It's going to take 95 wins ob to win this thing. Riverbrian 1

The Cleveland team doesn't need to dominate, they need to win one more game than Minnesota. So those winning percentages aren't really relevant now. Edited August 11, 2019 by Mike Sixel

Seems to me that's what I said in a round about way.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Perspective might be good for fan's frets... not quite sure about the Twins' success. Our 10+ game lead is down to one with more than enough games against the Indians to swing that the right or the wrong way. Yes, the schedule for us is easier here on out, but they still have to win the games.
