Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Interestingly, just after our most recent Keuchel discussion here, he was lit up for 8 runs on 10 hits (3 HR) in 3.2 innings by the Marlins! He'll need some more good performances to get his season numbers back to respectability now...Keuchel has certainly gone on a nice run since that clunker. He's won his last 5 starts, and the Braves have won his last 6. 6 GS, 37 IP, 4 R, 35 K, 0.97 ERA. Not all slouches for opponents either -- 2 starts vs the Mets and 1 each vs PHI and WSN in that span -- and only 1 run allowed in 25 innings versus those divisional opponents! For the season, he's up 8-5, 3.35 ERA in 16 starts, 96.2 IP. His FIP is still 4.39, so only 1.0 fWAR vs 2.4 bWAR. His K% is up to 19.8% (from 17.5% last year).

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Yu Darvish K'd 14 in 6 innings of 2 hit, shutout ball last night for the Cubs. Since the all-star break, Darvish is 13th in MLB in fWAR, 9th in RA9-WAR (sort of like bWAR, using actual runs allowed instead of FIP), 8th in ERA, 3rd in K% behind only Cole and Verlander... https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=y&type=6&season=2019&month=31&season1=2019&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=2019-01-01&enddate=2019-12-31&sort=3,d
